Michele A. McDonald is the Founder, Editor-in- Chief and Publisher of Not Necessarily The Hamptons™️ Magazine. She’s a life-long, Long Islander; born, bred, and educated here on Long Island. She absolutley loves and adores Long Island, New York. In fact she once had the privilege and honor of representing New York at the National Pageant. Michele’s affection for Long Island, and an authentic Long Island Lifestyle the balance of coastal casual living with glimmers of glam is the foundation Not Necessarily The Hamptons™️ Magazine was built upon.
Michele shares, “I have a fairly simple palate with an appreciation for comfort, aesthetic, and quality. I do love mixing highs and lows, and I usually like to have an unexpected element. Whether it’s a part of my outfit, home decor, wellness practice or within the details of an event ”. She works daily to cover everything and anything in the realm of style- fashion, home décor, & entertaining in style, wellness: fitness, beauty & travel, dining, art & entertainment and social – social responsibility and social engagements.

Photography Editor at Large
Morgan McGivern had a Yashica 35mm film camera as a member of the 5th grade camera club in 1972 and access to a conventional darkroom. He went on to be Co-Editor photography end of a western New England Prep School Year, in between tearing up Varsity Lacrosse and Soccer Fields. He attended Boston College, was a staff member of its literacy magazine, The Stylus and assignment photographer for its large circulation independent school newspaper The Heights. He played three seasons of Division 1 Lacrosse for BC as a defenseman.He attended the MFA program for Photography at Rochester Institute of Technology for two years studying under Dr. Richard Zakia is a specialist in Densitometry & Sensitometry. Dr. Zakia former US Navy, and former longtime employee of Kodak and author of Perception and Photography and the New Zone system.
Morgan worked for a long time for The East Hampton Star Newspaper ending as Staff Photographer. He worked for a year and a half segment for The Independent Newspaper as an assignment photographer. His extra curricular rate of published photographic work is as they say - sufficient. As Photo Editor at Large for Not Necessarily The Hamptons; he roams, surfs edges of hurricanes, often runs the beaches on icy winter days, takes photos of parades, and coined a photo series "Lanes of Dreams".
He is an advocate of the re-agrarian politics sprouting in East Hampton, NY. He is personally irate at the suburban attitude of newer folks who are occasioned to scoff at native born ways as idiosyncratic. Live and let live give credence to those who preceded you.
He feels pesticides should be banned on privately owned family properties LLC. What you have amongst a debacle of other resentments as the "de-framing" of our native landscape, build out other topics currently. He prefers the simple sensible less ostentatious East Hampton we who actually live here adore.
